Holland Farmers Market

My girls and I LOVE coming to this farmers market! This farmers market has a HUGE variety of vendors with fresh and unique product. You can choose to come on either Wednesdays or Saturdays from 8am to 4pm beginning in May and running all the way to the end of October. In November and December they offer the Christmas market with specialty vendors you can shop from on selected Fridays and Saturdays. Besides the wonderful produce,breads, baked goods, specialty goods and meats (oh yes, I can't forget the beautiful flowers that are for sale right now too!) that you would expect to find we have also found and made friends with many of the fabulous vendors. Because we have seen them week after week they remember my children now and they have begun teaching my girls about their trades. Also, in past years they have provided educational classes for children on Wednesdays at 10am and 11am by the northwest corner of the Civic Center. I can not find info as to if they are doing it again this year, but stop over to that area and check it out with your children. All classes encourage healthy eating and fun ways of exploring the farmers market. The farmers market can be a GREAT education experience for everyone.
