Dunlooken Farm

For the last 3 years, my husband and I split a CSA box from Dunlooken with another family. LOVE! They are a family-owned small operation and you have the option of adding fruit, eggs, and meat to your CSA. During the season, the weekly email newsletter is so helpful - it describes the box contents and includes suggestions and recipes for the produce. Off-season, they continue to keep us updated on the farm through a monthly newsletter. They have open houses and we love visiting them to help plant/pick veggies, feed the animals (chickens, ducks, goats, cats, horses), and take pony or hay rides.

It's a personalized box - before the season starts, they ask you to rate your veggie/fruit preferences so you get more of what you love and less of what you don't like - so nice! We really appreciated that extra personal touch. Also, when they have an abundance of a crop, they let us know so we had the option of getting more of it.

And they are so NICE! It's really been a pleasure. I work with farmers markets and my husband is a chef and we're both incredibly happy with everything they have to offer. They are quick to respond to questions and invite your input and suggestions too. 4 years ago we had a different CSA (larger, further away) and felt there wasn't enough of a personal touch so Dunlooken was a great fit.

Below are links to my photos that show the farm, their produce, and meals we've made with our Dunlooken CSA boxes -
