Earth Friendly Farm

Earth Friendly Farm is such a beautiful place to visit and has the BEST eggs, shiitake mushrooms, and honey. I recently took a shiitake mushroom class there and not only learned tons, but had lots of fun doing it. (Plus, a fabulous lunch!) Mike and Kelley instructed and demonstrated, then we each got to inoculate our very own log and bring it home with us. I can't wait to reap my first harvest! They take such great care to do everything naturally and organically, so I always feel good about anything I buy from the farm. I especially love the way the chickens are cared for. Each one has a name and a unique personality. They all receive quality medical care and are free to roam about the farm all day. They're kept inside, safe from predators at night and I must say their nighttime accommodations are quite luxurious and spacious. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
