Missouri Grass Fed Beef

I've ordered grass fed beef before, but was very unhappy with My purchase from MO grass fed beef. The meat was gamey, bruised, and difficult to cook. The steaks were small. I love porterhouse steaks. My favorite cut. These were the smallest I had ever seen, nearly half the size i expected. Then cooking them was a chore. Set grill to a low ever low temp, cause anything higher just burnt them (that's normal for grassfed beef) and instead of the 10-15 minutes to get a nice medium rare, I'd spend 20 or more, and still have the inside almost raw. And yes, I raise the steak to room temp, and yes i cook these all the time. Just last night I went out and got two porterhouse from a butcher that also deals in grass fed beef, and the steaks were large, and cooked exactly as expected. I will not be buying from them again.

Purchased a Pig from same meat processor and it turned out perfect, so it's NOT the processor that had the issue.
