OK, I'd like to start by saying I'd never had better 90percent lean ground beef in my life, PRIOR to Teton Water's recent packaging change. What happened? We were buying this meat from our local Natural Grocer in Montrose, CO. The label went from black to white and there is now an absorbent pad inside the cyropack and the meat is coarser ground and far less juicy and tasty. We've been doing a functional paleo diet and have been eating small patties of this meat at almost every dinner meal and some lunches, too. Suddenly the packaging has changed and the flavor and tenderness of the meat has gone down considerably. So disappointed. My husband noticed the pad in the packaging but we also noticed the difference in the "ground" of the meat and in the flavor. The date now is July, 2015. There seemed to be sourcing problems, as for awhile the Natural Grocer couldn't keep up with the demand. Now the meat is available again, but the quality just isn't there.
