I am trying to avoid supermarket spices, which are grown who knows where and may be treated or irradiated. This oregano is nicely dried, but not ground down, so you can see the leaves, a few leaves being on stems. This I prefer because I can tell it is not mixed with filler. Some people rub herbs through a sieve. I just pour it in my hand, pull out the few stems, and then crumble it into the spaghetti sauce. It has a nice pungent smell and true oregano taste. Great product
