Plowshare Produce

By: Johanna Jackson (Nov 17, 2016)
I met Micah and Bethany in 2012, when they gave me a box of fresh veggies equal to three hours of work. It was my first stint as a substitute work share. "Don't worry about working just yet," they said, "You can just come in in the spring." I was amazed at the produce (a giant bag of spinach!), the flexibility, the generosity, and my first-ever rutabaga.

In the years since, I've become a regular work share at Plowshare. And now I work as the full-time help. I see how Bethany and Micah live with a high standard of generosity. They give of themselves, and they give out only the finest food. If vegetables have a blemish, we almost never send them out to CSA. CSA members receive only "firsts" -- the best of the produce we've grown. The food is fresh, vibrant, and bountiful. And you can rest knowing that your food is grown with care for the earth and for people. If you want to support a small, family farm rooted that's in love, this is the place.
