6 days ago I purchased three of the most beautiful and nices hens from this farm. I noticed that one of them was sneezing when I brought it home but for some reason didn't catch the red flag. A second hen started sneezing and both were breathing through their mouths which is a sure sign of a respiratory problem. I knew instantly they were sick and separated them quickly from the rest of my hens. I took them to a vet and got antibiotics but was told that the antibiotics may or may not work. I called the Blue Star to let them know about my situation and she tried to pin it on me. I purchase many hens and have raised them myself and have never had a problem with any of my hens getting sick or dying. Now I'm trying everything that I can to help these poor hens. I just hope that these three beautiful hens don't die because of a farm that didn't properly take care of them. This greatly saddens me.. I suggest calling them if you purchased sick hens from them because this is unacceptable.
