Athens Farmers Market

It is only open on Saturday mornings in the summer and fall, but it is great fun with live music and children eating cookies and dancing. The produce is exquisite and now I believe a local organic beef grower is taking orders/and or selling his grass grown beef on the spot. There was an article in NYT Magazine about this farm and sadly I didn't go to the market today and I can't remember the name. It is located in Elberton, GA 'down the road a piece', and seems to be one of the finest cattle farms around. At any rate I love the Athens Farmers Market and think it is so important to support local growers.
