One of the best things about Joy of Illinois Farm is that Farmer Penny is a patient teacher and mentor who shares her twenty-five years' of farming wisdom in classes on topics ranging from Garden Planning, to Making Chevre Cheese, to All About Eggs, to Wild Edible Weeds and more, that she leads in her quaint old farmhouse dining room "classroom" and farmstead "laboratory."
