Where the Redfearn Grows Natural Farms

By: Janet Schaaf (Feb 24, 2020)
While we always welcomed a variety of vegetables in our diet before we were introduced to Redfearn Farm, becoming part of the CSA brought more veggie variety into our diet. We met Sheri at the Lee?s Summit Farmers Market and were sporadic customers for a season or so but enjoyed the vegetables so much?as well as Sheri?s pleasant conversation?that we decided to make a CSA share a regular part of our food purchases. Since then, we?ve had fun exploring vegetables we had not eaten before (some we?d never even heard of!) and incorporating them into a regular part of our diet.

I tend to be an analyzer, so the biggest obstacle to purchasing a CSA share was, at the time, the upfront cost. After crunching the numbers, though, it was clear that we were getting just as much, if not more, quantity of vegetables for our money as we were at our regular grocery store. That?s not even taking into consideration the quality of vegetables we were getting from the Redfearn Farm?no comparison!
