The Good Shepherd Family Farm

By: Dr. Jackson (Mar 7, 2021)
Today I went to pick up some milk for my family and a dog on the farm came after my small innocent daughter and I. This place has some good milk, but it is not a safe place to bring your children. My daughter and I did not even interact with the dog nor provoke the dog in any form or fashion. I thought that this place was an answer for me and my family for real cow's milk, but I will simply find another farm to go to. I also feel bad because I advised several of my prayer partners in ministry to solicit this farm, but I will have to encourage them otherwise.

I saw a dog too when I went yesterday but he/she was busy doing dog things. I?m sorry you were scared. It?s a sad thing to miss out on something many people have no way of getting. I bought milk sausage honey and eggs and in a day converted my family.

Claudia Pop the owner was there and I spoke with him. Please read below to see how he, or the man that looked just like him responded to me. Kevin I have to disagree with you. I believe that you or "a man that looked just like you" was there when the dog came after my daughter and I. I have patronized your farm before and the dog has NEVER responded in that way!! My husband use to train dogs and always accompanies me to the farm and is usually sitting in the car to look out for me as I go in the store. According to what my husband saw and according to what I experienced, it seems as if YOUR dog was given a direct order to come after me and my daughter. As the dog came after my daughter and I, my husband quickly helped me open the car door for my daughter to get in to ensure her safety and mine. However, before I got into my car you (or the man that looked just like you) walked towards me after the dog charged at me (so you or a man that looked just like you stood by and watched as the dog came at me and you did not tell him to stop) you made a joke and said to me, "The worst thing that can happen is that he (your dog) can do is bite." Why would you (or the man that looked like you) say that? You were grinning with a sarcastic expression when you said this to me. If your goal was to intimidate my family then you have succeeded. I pray that that was not the case, but who knows. So the fact that you made a joke about your dog potentially biting was unprofessional and mean spirited. I will NOT be returning and will advise others NOT to as well!! What really adds insult to injury is the fact that you have scriptures posted up, but those scriptures did not seem to be inscribed on your heart, because the way in which you (or the man that looked like you) responded to me was with callous disregard. Please do not deny this because I have a dash cam in my car and it can prove it. Therefore, I advise any and all persons with children to BEWARE!!! DO NOT RISK IT!!!

Hello Ms. Jackson, I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience here at the farm. My daughter was there when you came and she saw our dog go to greet you. She was not going after you, as you thought, but simply going to say hello. Please remember, we are not kroger or Walmart, so things are going to be a little different when you come here. When you come to our store, you are coming to our HOME, where we have lots of children and lots of products that we work very hard to produce. Hundreds of STRANGERS come down our driveway every week, right to our home, where our children live and play. So, we think it is a good idea to have a big dog to help look after the children and our store. Our dog is very loving and sweet, however, if you are frightened by her, all you had to do was call us and we would have put her up for you. It is unfortunate that you would smear our name and good food over this. We will gladly help you in any way in the future. Our food is produced the way God intended it to be, and makes you feel very good and healthy. We love our customers and our community and wouldn't do anything to hurt anybody. We are just trying to protect our children and what we work so hard to produce. I hope you can see that and forgive us and encourage others to do the same and not miss out on this excellent food.

I just read about the dog issue. This does sound alarming but wouldn't it have been better to call the owners and let them know that there is an issue with the dog rather then say u will advise all not to go there. I'm sorry but that is truly not Christ like. How are they to know what is going on. Seems to me if you were truly concerned u would have contacted the farm owners right away so that this doesn't happen again.
