I purchase meat from SLO Farmers. The quality is very worth the extra money because the meat goes further. A pound of ground is all you need for a pot of chili because it is so lean. A chicken will get you three meals because you can use the bones to make really good soup My advice is to eat less meat, but get good quality meat. They have Farmers Best Home Delivery service which works well. The meat is frozen, so it can sit in a cooler until you get home to put it in the freezer.
