Doe Run Farms

Every spring, we look forward to hearing from Judy & John that they are about to start delivering fresh produce again. We have been devoted subscribers of Doe Run Farms for more than 10 years now and we will never stop. Each week, we look forward to our box of fresh, delicious local produce and enjoy an element of botanical surprise! It's really fun to rummage through the box and figure out what to cook. We were introduced to a wide variety of leafy greens during our first year with Doe Run Farms and learned how tasty they were with almost no preparation - mostly sauteed with garlic and olive oil. The quality of the produce and the taste are incomparable. For example, their strawberries are divine - almost a different species from what you get at Wholefoods. Same for the peaches and apples. Amazing okras, peas, beans, eggplants, zucchinis, tomato, greens. The sweetest corn! Being able to eat local produce in season is a luxury. A medium box is sufficient for 3 people.
