I have been receiving a delivery of produce from Doe Run Farms CSA for several years now, and I love it. I look forward to each summer and try new ways of cooking local grown veggies and fruits. They make it really easy for me by bringing it to my workplace where a group of us all get a delivery together, which erases the shipping cost. Although they will also deliver to doorsteps.

Every spring, we look forward to hearing from Judy & John that they are about to start delivering fresh produce again. We have been devoted subscribers of Doe Run Farms for more than 10 years now and we will never stop. Each week, we look forward to our box of fresh, delicious local produce and enjoy an element of botanical surprise! It's really fun to rummage through the box and figure out what to cook. We were introduced to a wide variety of leafy greens during our first year with Doe Run Farms and learned how tasty they were with almost no preparation - mostly sauteed with garlic and olive oil. The quality of the produce and the taste are incomparable. For example, their strawberries are divine - almost a different species from what you get at Wholefoods. Same for the peaches and apples. Amazing okras, peas, beans, eggplants, zucchinis, tomato, greens. The sweetest corn! Being able to eat local produce in season is a luxury. A medium box is sufficient for 3 people.

We have been Doe Run Farms members for three years. Each delivery reminds me so much of the fresh food from my grandparents' farm and how we ate whatever was in season. Farmer John and Judy send us weekly emails so we know what to expect in our boxes, recipe tips and ideas from other members as well. Having a relationship with Doe Run Farms is really like being a member of a huge family. If you are on the fence, try the mini-share and add on extra fruit until you find the right amount of produce appropriate for your family. Then add on the extra tomatoes or the goat cheese shares if you cook a lot. You will be very pleased.

I adore our farmers and have been with them for years. I plan our winter meals almost to the day (I don't always succeed in executing that plan, but I plan!) but in the summer, I can't wait until we pick up our box on Thursday evening to see what we got and what I can make in the coming week. Do your research! We had some other CSA options when I first started researching (and I researched for almost a year!) but Doe Run Farm was just the right fit for us.

We were very pleased with the freshness and delicious taste of the produce! Doe Run Farms is an honest, trustworthy operation. They do a great job.

We like it so much, that I've already paid for two subscriptions in 2015. I recommend you try it!

I first joined the Doe Run farm CSA in 2011 and loved getting a box of fresh, healthy vegetables every week. I was unable to join in 2012, but I just got my email saying I was in for 2013! WooHoo!! I can't wait for my "Adventures in Vegetables" to begin! I am so tired of tasteless veggies in the groceries that have been trucked across the country or from some other country. Local, fresh is the ONLY way to go! Thanks John and Judy for all you do and your commitment to keeping us healthy! Without you, where would we be?!?

My husband and I joined Doe Run Farm's CSA 2 years ago after a great deal of research on the options available to us in our area. We love everything about our experience being members and feel like we are treated as part of the family. Most importantly though, my husband and I have lost 70 lbs this year and feel a great deal of this is because we have regular access to fresh fruits and veggies. Being CSA members has literally changed our lives for the better!

We've been members for two years and I am still impressed everytime we get our box. The fruit and vegetables are delicious and taste so fresh. Judy and John are always so pleasant and we look forward to seeing them each week.

We appreciate their dedication and willingness to bring us such good fruit and vegetables each week!

Once this fall's schedule ends we will definitely sign up for spring.

We had been members of another CSA in the past, but three years ago, we joined Doe Run Farm's CSA, and couldn't be more satisfied.

In our first CSA where we were members, we actually had old looking and sometimes moldy, vegetables and fruit show up in our box. My husband was ready to quit CSA until I began checking around and Doe Run Farm was recommended to me by a friend. The quality of what goes in my shares now each week and the freshness of everything I get every week, shows a consistency of high quality that was lacking in our prior CSA. This fall we also decided to give the Cheese Lover's Special a try, and it was wonderful. We had never eaten goat cheese that tasted this good.

Last year Doe Run Farm began delivering to my workplace which makes picking up my share more convenient than ever. I can highly recommend Doe Run Farm CSA to you. They have lots of pick up places.

We are LOVING our shares!! I am so sorry I didn't join sooner. You know, besides the optimum freshness of the products, the thing I like best is not having to go to the store with all 4 children and try to find things that look fresh and come from the US or a "safe" country when thinking about pesticides, etc. The best, freshest produce around comes to me! What a treat and a priviledge.

Just wanted to let all in on a great source of healthy, organic vegetables and fruits. I have purchased a full share from the people at Doe Run Farms for the past 2 seasons and have been thoroughly pleased and feel it is well worth the money. My family of 4 purchases a regular share each season and we typically have enough left over each week for canning. If you are not interested in freezing or canning then the mini share would probably do. Either way this is a great alternative to the preserved and processed vegetables and fruits you buy at your local grocery. The www.doerunfarmtn.com website is very informative and tells what to expect in the box you receive each week. Also take advantage of the early bird registration as shares sell out pretty quick.

This is our first season and second week at Doe Run CSA. The difference in food quality from this local organic farm and our normal grocery store is unbelievable. The strawberries from the CSA are a deep red throughout the core, jucy, and bursting with flavor, contrasted with grocery store hollow bags of white flesh. Likewise, the CSA asparagus were like vibrant little bushes, rather than lifeless grocery store zombies.

This must be the way food is supposed to be. We have been in the dark.

I have been a member of Doe Run Farm CSA for several seasons now. I have done both the summer and fall/winter shares. This is a wonderful farm with great food grown by delightful people. Their produce is amazingly high quality. Their food is not just delicious but also beautiful. I have been very happy as a member of this CSA and have joined up again for the 2010 season.

My husband and I are new members to the Doe Run Farms CSA this summer (2009). We are about halfway through the season and have really enjoyed our weekly boxes. I found out about their CSA program here on Local Harvest and could not be happier. The vegetables and fruits that we have received have been fantastic. It is amazing how much better everything tastes when it is fresh and organic!

I have recommended the Doe Run Farm CSA to many of my co-workers and friends since it is just so good. It is an honor to be able to support a local farm that truly cares about its products and members. We are signing up for the winter CSA session as well and plan to be members for many years to come!

This is our first experience with a CSA and my husband and I have been delighted with the variety of fresh vegetables and fruit in our box each week. The regular communications from Judy have been very helpful and she replies immediately to any questions I have about what is in our box.

Doe Run Farm brings only the freshest quality food to their CSA share holders. The freshness and diversification of the vegetables are outstanding! I can rely on Doe Run Farm to bring my share each week and on time (very important for those of us with hectic schedules). They truly take pride in their farm and the product they deliver. This is my second experience participating in a CSA and DRF is by far the best! Even my kids enjoy eating vegetibles now (believe me, they do taste better than what you can by off the grocery shelf).

The produce from this farm is excellent! I just had cucumbers for breakfast. Generally, I would start the day with cereal or toast but these veggies are so crisp and delicious that they beg to be eaten at any time of day! Family Day at the farm was a real treat. Farmers Judy and John (along with their family )welcomed us with open arms. To see where our food comes from and meet the folks that provide us with it each week was a wonderful experience.

We have been very happy members of Doe Run Farm's CSA for quite awhile now. Delivery is always prompt, and Judy keeps shareholders informed about what to expect via in each week's box via a weekly email.

The produce is top-notch - flavorful and fresh, with a wide variety. Boxes are generously filled to the brim and it's always such a treat to pick it up.

I love the veggies and fruits from the Farm to Table CSA at Doe Run Farm. Everything is fresh and much better than produce that has been travelling for days. I enjoy knowing that John & Judy have grown and picked what I'm cooking for my family. The variety is wonderful!

I have used Doe Run Farm vegetables going on the second year. I was especially impressed with the winter vegetables they farm. Since I live so far from the farm and cannot get to the farm every week, it is wonderful they deliver. I only have to choose the closest delivery point. Good organic food is the best food in the world. I can be sure of their quality.

John and Judy are such nice people. They become family very quickly. I look forward to seeing them again this year.
