Murray Hill Farm

I was new and the second pickup I went up and said my name (which is what we were supposed to do at another CSA I was in) and Chuck stared at me and rudely replied that he knew. I went back on week three and stated that my husband accidentally recycled the box. A woman next to me started joking and we exchanged some silly humor. Chuck then went off about not wanting "foul women" in his CSA line and proceeded to tell me he will leave my next box on the curb for pickup. I was baffled. I explained we didn't swear or say anything crude. His response was "women text him all the time complaining about their husbands". Super weird experience and I do not appreciate being followed to my car while he ranted. We playfully joke and are happy in my family. He might have been having a bad day but do not take that out on a customer. Or call me foul mouth when I didn't use swearing or anything remotely to it. I have never had an experience like that before. Super strange for all the positive reviews.

Not sure what this review is all about with your negative experience. My wife and I have been members of this CSA for 3 years now, and it has been nothing like this, and actually it is the complete opposite. We find Chuck to be extremely flexible in all phases from where we pick up from week to week, to changes in our order and add ons. We talk to many other members of this CSA and their experiences and we have never heard of anything like this at all being the case. My take is if you have a perceived problem then take that up with Chuck before posting something like this to resolve a perceived experience as being negative at your CSA pickup. None-the-less, the experience we have had, and the product speaks for itself as nothing short of AMAZING week in and week out. And as we see this CSA growing and flourishing with new faces at picks up weekly, that speaks volumes about the organic growth going on.

In the many years I have been in this CSA I have never experienced harsh words exchanged. I always see people leave pickups with a smile on their face. The farmers and Chuck work long hard days to provide so many people with organic local foods, and honestly he is usually smiling at deliveries even through rain, sleet and snow. He does amazing filling special orders on top of all the regular orders, and is generous at making up for any unforeseen problems if you let him know.

It sounds like a misunderstanding. I�ve been a customer for 6 years and my kids and I see Chuck and Charlie on a weekly basis. I�ve learned a lot about the local farming economy and have even had the opportunity to meet some of the growers. He has a good rapport with his customers. I appreciate that he leaves my box for me when I can�t make it on time. You won�t find a more flexible CSA.

I have been a subscriber to MHF for over 7 years. I have never had this type of experience. I love the flexibility and selection that I get from MHF� it is second to none. I think maybe talking to Chuck first about your issue may have been the right first move.

I have been a MHF CSA customer for 6 years. Like scores of people, this has not been my experience at all. Great service. Great products. Perhaps she should have spoken directly with Chuck before posting this review?
