Great CSA with the best produce ... you have to try their Heirloom 'maters ... oh yeah !

I'm a 'mater nut ... salads, tomato sandwich or my fave >> fried 'maters.

Don't pass by this CSA farm, they are great.

We are third-year members at Blooming Glen Farm. We have relished in the wonderful food and sense of community we get there. My pre-schoolers love our trips to the farm and have developed such a natural and deep connection to the food they eat. The vegetables and fruits (melons!) are always large, fresh, and beautiful. The classes, potlucks, festivals, and (optional) work days are great ways to connect with fellow local food lovers, learn, and have fun. Tom and Tricia and their crew work very hard to provide great food for their CSA members, even during extreme weather conditions. We feel so blessed to have farmers who devote their lives to growing healthy food for local families!

I've been a member of Blooming Glen since its beginning so my young daughter has grown up going there with me. I can't imagine a year now without Blooming Glen's glorious produce and welcoming atmosphere. I love getting my daughter into the fields for the pick-your-own crops, and we always have fun at the events the owners plan. Tricia and Tom and the interns are tireless and have created not just a CSA but a warm community. I find myself looking forward to pick-up days because not only will I get bags full of awesome food, but I'll also get to spend some time in the sun just enjoying being on the farm.

We have been members for two seasons now and are looking forward to our third. The shares are wonderful, including not just veggies, but flowers and herbs. The children's garden is great for the young ones. We look forward to each pickup and the work opportunities, the farm is a great place to be.

Being a member is so much more than the share, it a great community. Pot lucks and Harvest Festivals are a great opportunity to meet and spend time with other members. The website is a great resource for recipes and more.

We also have to mention Trish and Tom who are just really nice people to know, and they are very knowledgeable about what they are doing - if you have a question, they can and will help. Joining Blooming Glen was one of the best decisions we've ever made.

My wife and I have always been carful of what we eat but it had always been "grocery store fare." When she found out about the Blooming Glen CSA three years ago we joined right away. I work from our home and have the most fexible schedule so I am the designated "share croper." I am also the family cook. The first year, I felt compelled to purchase the vegetable cookbook that Blooming Glen offers because I never had ever tried cooking colorabi, celeric or some of the more esoteric veggies that we got from them.

We can really tell the difference from "store bought" veggies with regard to freshness and wholesomeness. We sometimes have two or three different vegetables for one meal. When winter arrives, we really miss the wonderful bounty and are counting the days when we get to go back up to Blooming Glen to meet & greet!

Now when I tell someone what we had for dinner the night before that included some wonderful farm fresh veggies, the listener is amazed and impressed. The bragging rights alone are worth the price of admission!

We love Trish & Tom!!! We get to watch little Dakota growing up!!! This will be our 4th year. We plan to keep our membership for decades to come!

My family has been part of the Blooming Glen CSA for 5 seasons and we now can't imagine a year without the wonderfully fresh and delicious produce we receive each week during the harvest season. The farmers and interns are a terrific resource for recipes and storage tips. They've truly enhanced our CSA experience. The farm's delightful festivals, informative classes, and periodic work opportunities have all brought us closer to the land, our neighbors, and ourselves. We highly recommend this gem in Blooming Glen!

My husband & I have been members of Blooming Glen Farm since their beginning and have enjoyed it every year. The quantity, quality and variety of vegetables we receive every week has been exceptional. The amount of pick-your-own is not too much but just enough to help us appreciate the amount of hard work that Tom, Tricia and crew put into the CSA. I especially love the strawberries & raspberries and have had more than one standoff with a bee over who gets the berry. I look forward to pick up day and try to schedule my day so that I don't have to rush to get my share. I can enjoy the sights & sounds of the farm, pick some flowers and chat with the farmers and fellow members. Can't wait for the 2011 season to begin!

It has been a fabulous experience with Blooming Glen! The first CSA I ever joined and the quality and quantity of food was abundant! I learned so much about different vegetables and how to cook them, was wowed by what fresh vegetables recently picked look like, and excited to feed my family, local, fresh alive food. I have enjoyed the farm for 4 years now. They offer education of all types to their members and potlucks and celebrations throughout the season. A wonderful community spot and I run into all kinds of friends there! Worth every penny for quality food! A wonderous experience in eating and living!!!

Good people, good value, good food & good events. I have loved being a member since the very first season at Blooming Glen and thoroughly enjoy the variety of veggies and fruits we receive. Plenty of good staples as well as some funky foods to get the imagination going! If your not that creative with food there is always plenty of chat amongst the members at pick up time to give you ideas and suggestions, or of course great recipe books sold at the farm. I find that the amount to pick is just right. It is a great way to educate your children about what they eat and the real meaning of food. My son Jacob, now three loves the farm and can't wait to help me. The already picked produce is also nicely cleaned so you don't have to go home to a major scrubbing session before being able to store your food. It is wonderful to have flowers included in a share too. The harvest festival and pot luck dinners at the farm are a great way to meet other members and being able to purchase Henry and Charlotte Rosenberger's beef (Tussock Sedge farm) and other meats, eggs etc on site is nice bonus too. It amazes me how organized and well run the farm is. The website for the farm and the blog and photos are also fun to follow. Watching the food grow as you drive past, eagerly waiting for the season to start and knowing that what you see is what you get is a comforting thought and always brings a smile to my face.

I joined Blooming Glen 3 years ( 2011 will be my 4th season) ago when I was looking for a way to reduce the amount of chemicals in the food we were eating. Every week you receive a great variety and large share of vegetables and fruits like strawberries, melons and raspberries when in season. If I can't use it all in one week I freeze what I can for later. You get a choice of 2 pick-up days so you can decide what works best with your schedule. There is a children's garden and you can pick fresh herbs and flowers every week. There are also potluck dinners you can attend if you would like to meet other members. I've attended a cheesemaking class and classes are also available for soap making and making prserves. Last year they started a chicken coop and eggs are available to purchase. They are delicious. The farmers, Tom and Tricia are great people and are so passionate about what they do. I am counting the days until the first pick-up in the spring.

I have been a member of this CSA since it's first year and have never regretted it !! ....I drove by, saw thier sign and was able to get one of the last shares availalbe. I am a lover of all veggies but, even though I thought myself knowledgable of them, I have learned about and come to love many more. BGF's season is amazingly long and the veggies are incredibly fresh and wholesome....an amazing bargain for organic produce. We are already anxious for the season to begin.

Tom and Tricia are smart and skilled farmers who provide an essential service to me. Eating locally farmed organic produce is the cornerstone of my health, and my diet. My cholesterol has been at a healthy level since I began building my diet around the CSA's produce several years ago.

Luckily, I heard about the CSA in its first year of its existence. I always look forward to picking up my share. I have had great share partners, and the experience of picking up my produce has been very easy.

I enjoy picking herbs and flowers from the gardens. And I am always thinking about new dishes to make with the variety of vegetables and sometimes fruit that we get.

I leaned about a lot of new vegetables, and have become a lover of root vegetables.

This CSA is just the best!

If you are looking for an organic farm with a whimsical children's garden, friendly farmers, varied and delicious produce, and lots of community events, Blooming Glen is the place for you!

We've been members for years and are thrilled with the quality of produce as well as the opportunities for on-going food and agricultural education. Kids and adults adore the farm, and the farm is a happy meeting place for those who yearn for sweet festivals and old-fashioned chatting with neighbors.

Highlights of our Blooming Glen CSA experience include: Harvest Festival in the fall, a cob workshop, incredible raspberries and strawberries, and heirloom tomatoes. And just as the crisp autumn weather comes and roadside stands close for the season, Blooming Glen continues to delight with pumpkins and squashes galore.

We look forward to this year's growing season. I can taste the strawberries already.

I have been a Blooming Glen Farm CSA member for four years and can say that their produce is fantastic. Both the amount and variety of each week's share is abundant. The quality and taste of the fruits and vegetables is very high. And as a bonus, the farmers are friendly and kind. I cannot imagine a harvest season without Blooming Glen. So looking forward to the first pick up this spring!

We are almost through our first year with Blooming Glen Farm and have been very pleased thus far. While we sometimes struggle with how to use an unfamiliar vegetable, we love receiving a changing variety of fruit and veggies as the seasons progress. It's been fun to see our young child say "yum!" to kohlrabi or beets - items we would probably never buy at the grocery store. The vegetables are not muddy, the taste is superb, and the quantity is generous. The U-pick crops are valuable in re-enforcing where vegetables come from, and the cut flowers have given us beautiful bouquets for much of the summer.

I joined Blooming Glen Farm's CSA last year (2009). It was such a blessing. Each week I collected amazing fruit, veggies and flowers. They are wonderful people and I would highly recommend joining this CSA. I can't wait until the Spring so I can start colllecting my veggies again.
