the Ashe County market is filled with treasures and with wonderful people who know their products... and the names of their chickens, and how the dalias look in the early morning sun, and how the honey tastes...and the tickle spots on their goats... it is a delight to buy here in my own county from my area's bounty. thank you all!

I love the idea that everything comes from Ashe county. So, a customer knows produce is very fresh, and the local economy is being helped. The local people are very friendly and enthusiastic about their OWN HOME market.

Ashe County Farmer's Market is one of the very few markets that will allow only Ashe County grown or made products. The real definition of Locally Grown

There are some many farmers in the area that need a place to advertise and share their delicious hardwork. Ashe is a small community and its important to have a location that can bring people together to share their lives, produce, and other crafts.

Held on Saturdays and Wednesdays, throughout the summer, in the beautiful mountain mornings! Nice gathering of local people, half-locals, and non-locals, enjoying the fresh produce, plants and products made and grown locally. The arts are "big", up here, and this farmer's market has its share of gifted artisans. One particular Saturday morning, the high school steel drum band played - which I truly enjoyed! Great place to start your weekend in West Jefferson, NC!

They're my local source for organic meat, cheeses, and delicious veggies. It's a tasty way to define Ashe County as beautiful, functional farms instead of 1/2 acre vacation cabins.

There's so much going on every time I go. It's so refreshing to know that I'm eating fresh, local food and meeting the person who grew it. It tastes so good too!

The market is unique in that EVERYTHING must be made or grown in Ashe county. Nothing may be bought and then resold-it all has to be grown by the seller and I like that!

It is a truly wonderful place to find locally grown produce, locally made foods, and locally made crafts. That is a great way to support local people. And they are a wonderful bunch of people always ready with a friendly smile, and even a special deal or two. The atmosphere is one of happy people enjoying offering their products in their own community. The quality is second to none, and customers know they are getting the best products at reasonable prices, much less than found in retail establishments. And the special events are a lot of fun as well as educational. All in all, just a great place to be for both vendor and customer.

Excellent strategy in our effort to both reduce the trend of obesity in our community and to assist our local producers which will strengthen our economy.

I support the Ashe County Farmer's Market because I want to support the local farmers. It is so much better when your food is picked at it's peak rather than still green in order to ship better. I also love the wonderful feeling of "community" when I go there.

The Ashe County Farmers Market is the greatest market anywhere! I have visited markets all over the U.S. and none has such a high integrity of genuinely locally grown and hand made products. It is a wonderful market with great folks involved in welcoming old friends as well as new visitors each week.

Ashe County Farmer's Market is a wonderful place with friendly helpful people and wonderful products for sale each time it is open. The products change with the seasons because only locally grown and hand made items are allowed. The quality of the products is the best as are the people.

ACFM is a wonderful blend of the many cultures of Ashe county, mixed with a delightful assortment of healthy things to eat. I have yet to meet a stranger that did not become a friend. To assure quality all arts and crafts must pass a strict jury.

It is a good way to help local Ashe County growers in providing them with extra income. All the locally grown vegetables taste better than what you would get in a grocery store. I also enjoy buying the vegetable and flower plants that we can get at our farmers market in West Jefferson.
