My wife & I have been members of Hurricane Farm's meat CSA, we've purchased 1/10 of a pig & have gotten our Thanksgiving turkey from them as well as countless cuts of beef & dozens upon dozens of eggs... I'm not one for hyperbole, but everything we've gotten from Hurricane Farm has been absolutely delicious... Both their sweet & hot sausages are amazing and the bacon is among some of the best I've ever had. The heritage breed Bourbon Red turkey we ordered for Thanksgiving was hands down the tastiest turkey I've ever cooked. I honestly can't say that we've ever gotten anything from Hurricane Farm that wasn't delicious...

Erica and Chris are a pleasure to deal with, are very accommodating regarding CSA pickup times and they certainly make everyone feel like more than just another customer...

If you're looking for some of the best tasting meat (and produce too!) then Hurricane Farm should top your list!

Recently purchased 1/10th of a pig from Hurricane Farm and am in love with the flavor of the meat. I used a combination of the sweet and hot pork sausage to make stuffed peppers and it was amazing. Their nitrate free kielbasa is to die for.

Our heritage breed turkey was the best, most flavorful bird ever. We love it all; the bacon, the ribs, the beef, the chicken, the experience of picking up our monthly order, visiting at the Coventry Farmer's Market.

We had the most amazingly delicious bourbon red turkey from the farm - I cannot tell you enough how wonderful it was. It was by far the very best turkey ever and I have cooked A LOT of turkeys!! -so tasty and delicious. There simply is no comparison to previous turkeys - even free range and so on... This morning I finished picking every single morsel of meat off the bones so that nothing went to waste. And I just had some more for lunch!!

Thank you , thank you, thank you for all of the hard work you do to bring good meat to our tables!

And I promise you, no doubt I will be bringing more turkeys into Manhattan for my friends as they find out and I will be happy to do it - it is great to share... Just please put me right back on the waiting list for next year!! :-)

I have to give the heritage turkey a rave review. The meat was absolutely delicious and very juicy. There was a lot of conflicting information on the internet about cooking a heritage turkey. Fortunately, I asked Erica and I followed her advice exactly. I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinner for almost 40 years, and this was my best turkey ever. You have to be prepared for the heritage turkey not to be as fat and meaty as the regular turkeys, but there is no comparison when it comes to the flavor and texture of the meat. I like knowing where my food comes from, and knowing my turkey grew up in a natural environment only about 5 miles from my house. Thanks, Erica

while I was inside paying for my turkey, a flock of their turkeys surrounded my car and pulled leaves out of the bumper. what a place I thought, they even detail your car while you wait. As I walked out the door, another turkey greeted me. And a cat. I think it is more of a zoo then a farm. but, I left knowing I had a free range turkey. I mean, it doesn't get any free'er then this. This was my first, free range heritage breed turkey from a farm, so I had a lot of questions to email them. They answered all of them quickly, which really surprised me as I know they have a farm to run. The turkey tasted great. I highly recommend them, both to deal with as a business and for the quality of food they produce. And, in case any one is wondering about the date, the turkey was not bought for thanksgiving.

Just finished up the pork chops from our 1/10th of a pig...the bacon & sausage were tops, and the ham, smoked with maple syrup, was sublime. We would like to order 2/10ths for next season.

Sunday, we grilled fresh chicken (the first of the meat CSA)...picked up at the Coventry Farmer's Market. Tender, juicy and full flavored. Looking forward to the next pick-up.

We recently got a big order of pork from Hurricane Farm. In the smoked meat we got bacon. This is the best bacon Ive ever had. Its so rich and wonderful that when we cook it up, we only have one small piece each. I like that the cut is thick, thanks Hurricane Farm!

We got a share of one of the pigs that Chris and Erica had butchered a few months ago. Part of our share was a smoked ham which we just prepared for our Easter dinner. It was the juiciest, most flavorful ham we have ever eaten. As I was carving it, the juices were just running out, I have never had ham like this before. We highly recommend Hurricane Farm to anyone who is seriously interested in having high quality, absolutely delicious meat.

My husband and I picked up our first order of pork this past weekend and cooked up the chops and some of the country ribs that night. Honestly, this was the best pork I've ever tasted and there is something to be said about knowing just where your food came from!

Can't wait til the smoked pork is in.

Erica at Hurricane Farms was so helpful in putting together a gift package for my sister who just had a baby. She offered to make some pumpkin bread and apple crisp in addition to the items that were already available. My sister's family loved everything (eggs, pumpkin bread, wheat bread, butternut squash soup, apple crisp), particularly the wheat bread. She really enjoyed meeting Erica and plans to take her up on her offer to show the kids around the farm to see the animals in the near future as they live a few towns over. Thanks for everything!...Laura

We recently cooked a 5lb bone-in pork loin from one of the Hurricane Farm pigs. It was so delicious and the meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor. We made a delicious black bean and sweet potato soup with the left over pork. That was even better than the main meal. We will definitely be purchasing more pork products from Chris and Erica in the future.

I haven't been out to the farm yet, but my sister brings me eggs occasionally. What's been wonderful about that is seeing the variety in size and color of eggs. Our kids pick out their favorites to cook. Our Thanksgiving table was graced by the best turkey I've ever eaten and a lovely apple pie, both from Hurricane. I can't wait to actually get out there and see the place.
