It's convenient and has healthy food choices without you having to grow your own. In this economic downturn, it is a wonderful way to support local growers.

I love the idea of encouraging local, sustainable produce and "farmy" type products, like jams, salsas, honey, etc. And it's a lovely feeling to go out Sunday morning early and visit with buyers and sellers.

I love the Bowie Farmer's Market where the produce ( the fruits really special ) is beautiful and the flowers and plants are extraordinary and reasonably priced. The bread is also fabulous as is the booth where the fresh salsa, jams and jellies, mustards, are sold, all homemade. Even the man who sells coffee and tea has something special. The special events like Oktoberfest, and other seasonal events make it even more festive. The Bowie Farmers Market is also a social event where neighbors get a chance to catch up with each other while buying wonderfully fresh, locally grown wares.

Its convenient, at the end of my street, and the people are 'regulars' - quite a kid and pet friendly crowd, great berries and fruit and flowers!

My parents and I love this market. It is always clean and everything is laid out so well. There is plenty of space for me to move around in my wheelchair too. Even though it is always crowded, it is a great place to get produce, as well as other itemns like bread.

The Bowie Farmer's Market is still going strong but has moved from it original location. It is currently located in the parking lot of the Bowie Library. Open on Sundays from around 8am-noon.
