There's a great variety of local, organic food, from honey to garlic, to beef, to bread. I love connecting with the farmers and getting fresh, raw, whole food (which tastes sooo much better than supermarket fare). It's nice to have such a large market so close.

I am a locavore who refuses to pay the "diesel tax" if it can be avoided. I also believe that farmers markets are vital to food security.

There is always fresh locally grown produce. You can get things here that just taste better than anything you buy in the store. It is also nice to have a market like this in our downtown area.

I love the downtown farmer's market. It's the only market where people don't look down on you for being a hippy, tree hugging, vegetable loving, person.

In this economy Ilike to help the locals. Even thought i live in wyoming, utah is the closest place to a farmers market we get. So I totally support the famers markets of america. AMEN.

Our Downtown Farmers Market is a place to buy wonderful fresh produce, breads, cheeses, flowers, and a wide assortment of art (jewelry, pottery, paintings, clothing) - all from local people. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and a great meeting place fro breakfast or lunch. I really look forward to each Saturday morning!

I am a huge supporter of the Downtown Farmers Market in Salt Lake City for many reasons. First of all, it is very well organized and well run, which makes a huge difference for the consumers. Not only can I get a variety of great fresh produce, it's a really fun atmosphere that brings people together as a community. I think that is more important now than ever. I also love to buy from our local growers as opposed to buying produce from Mexico and other far-off locations, which of course adds to greenhouse gases, etc. There is also a bike valet so you can ride your bike there and they will watch it for free! How cool is that?!

Salt Lake City residents look forward to our Downtown Farmers Market mainly because we are a four-season state. When summer arrives so do the many outdoor activites. The variety of our market has something for everyone and the produce is awesome!

it's getting more diverse with more variety of things sold and the food is not a hybrid but good-old fashioned, healthy. The vendors are a slice of life, too!

Because it helps support local farmers, the produce is good and cheap, and it fosters a sense of community.

It gives home crafters & other such talented people to share their gift with everyone and make some well-deserved money and recognition! I like the feel of a good Farmer's Market, and the food is great too!

It's in a beautiful park setting. It has great fresh and often organic produce from local growers. It also has well made crafts and food to eat on the spot. Ir's also a community gathering place and I see lots of people I know.

Music, really good prepared food vendors, art booths, and all in addition to a huge abundance of fresh vegies, fruit, honey, and flowers. Vendors are helpful and eager to share product and knowledge.
