We've been part of the Godfrey's meat and egg CSA for a couple of months now. The eggs are out of this world! Last month we got 3 dozen eggs and they barely lasted a week as soft-boiled eggs, omelets, lemon curd, and poached eggs were made almost daily. Yesterday we received our first chickens, which we cooked two of. They were fantastic and have ruined all other chickens for us. Their veal is also delicious and this month we look forward to the pork.

We have been getting fresh organic meat and eggs from Godfrey Family Farms for a couple of months now and we love it!! Everything we have tried has been excellent and we love the variety! We have also been out to the farm and know where and how our food is being raised which is very cool. I would highly recommend Godfrey Family Farms to anyone and everyone.

Delicious, healthy, convenient, interesting, and good for the animals and the planet: There's nothing I pay for that I feel better about. I am very happy to support really nice people doing a really good thing--raising happy and healthy animals in a sustainable way. And the meat is great! The eggs are night-and-different from the "free range organic" Trader Joe eggs I was used to. Every month we get a great variety of meat that we would otherwise never have tried.

My husband and I have been looking for a meat CSA that serves the East Bay and we were absolutely overjoyed when we found Godfrey Family Farms. We signed an upfront for 6 months without seeing their products (quite a gamble!) and that risk has reaped serious rewards. The meats are incredible quality and part of the monthly package includes premium cuts. Our friends think we are much richer than we actually are since we serve veal cutlets, roast duck and filet mignon! Rose (of Godfrey Family Farms) is very responsive in emails and offers great advice on how to cook your meats (with recipe suggestions). The other great aspect of the meat CSA is that it forces us to experiment in the kitchen which is great fun! I've never cooked with water buffalo or guinea fowl until joining. It has definitely expanded my horizons.

BUT! - the creme de la creme of Godfrey Family Farms are those eggs. They are I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. They are about the same price as the premium eggs you find at Whole Foods but they are so so so much better. I buy 4 dozen to last me a month. These eggs compel me commit a deadly sin - gluttony (and it feels so good!)

I have no hesitations on recommending their eggs and their meat CSA to my family, and friends.
