The best CSA around!
By: Maha Libdeh (Mar 11, 2015)
Happy Hollow CSA is, without a doubt, the best CSA that you will find in/near Columbia, MO!! From the fabulous Farmer Liz to her beautiful farm to the amazing veggies, this CSA provides an experience that will have you coming back for more. I was so "green" when I joined this CSA; I did not know what to expect. What I got blew me away. I met a community of wonderful people, built a strong relationship with Liz/her family/her interns, and I learned just how much love and work actually goes into organic farming. My appreciation for what organic farmers do and what it takes to sustain food without harmful chemicals is ineffable after working at Happy Hollow Farm (note: getting to work on the farm is one of my favorite parts of the CSA). Not to mention that the food from Happy Hollow is the best I've ever had. The veggies look beautiful, taste wonderful, and literally come straight from the farm (CSA boxes are packed within 1 day of pick-up). Join...you won't regret it!!!
WOW! Look at all those veggies!

I've been a CSA member w/Happy Hollow Farms for 3 years now. Each season Farmer Liz blows me away with the wide selection of veggies and the beauty of the members box I receive. The veggies each week are plentiful, pre washed and presented in a cedar box. Farmer Liz cares about the food she grows for her CSA members. It's all ORGANIC too. I can't wait to see what I'll be getting for the 2014 growing season.

Happy Hollow Farms is an incredible place for quality vegetables, education about farming, and a wonderful farmer, who cares deeply about her product and her CSA members. As a return CSA member, I can vouch for the incredible quality and diversity of what we receive each week, and love that we are eating locally grown, organic produce.
All Around Quality!!

In my search for a quality CSA I had heard about Happy Hollow Farm from several different people who absolutely loved this farm. I decided to take a chance (and I was nervous b/c of a prior not so great CSA experience) and was I ever glad I went with Farmer Liz and HHF!! She blew me out of the water and it was only her second year farming. I am now in my third year as a CSA Member and have received her fresh, organic produce for 3 summers and 2 winters. I would not miss out on any season offered.
Each week we receive a beautiful selection of in-season veggies in a handmade cedar box. The produce has been picked with care, cleaned (appropriately per veggie) and stored in a walk-in cooler that is kept at an ideal temperature; so, when you receive your share each week the produce is so fresh and amazing.
It is obvious that Farmer Liz loves what she does and believes in her product. I do too! I strongly recommend Happy Hollow Farm. If you want to know what local, organic veggies should taste like, this farm is for you too.
I love my farm and my farmer! :)

This is our second year of CSA veggies from Happy Hollow Farm and Farmer Liz and we couldn't be happier! This has been a hard year with the drought but you wouldn't know it by the quality and quantity of vegetables and fruit in our cedar box each week. Everything comes washed, organized and visually appealing when you pick them up..You can't help but be excited to cook and experience freshness at its peak! Liz and Katie are incredible women who love their farm and it shows in the results.

The thing that stands out most about my first season with Happy Hollow is the quality of the produce we received. Farmer Liz takes great care to pick the produce at the last possible minute, so it comes to you very fresh. The veggies are also very clean when they arrive. The weekly newsletters are also helpful, with a key to the week's vegetables, news about what's happening around the farm, and recipes using that week's featured vegetables.
Great New CSA

Happy Hollow farms couldn't have picked a rougher year that 2010 to start their CSA (it was extremely wet), but it still had an amazing season.
Of particular note was the incredibly high quality of the vegetables. There were really second to none. Liz bends over backwards to see that the vegetables are delivered in prime condition.
Every week had a really nice variety of vegetables in the share. We were never overloaded with any one vegetable on any given week. I didn't know one could grow as many varieties of tomatoes in Missouri as we received.
The work shares were fun, not too hard, and really made us appreciate where the food was coming from.
