Apparently, I am an idiot who does not know how to feel inside a carcass of a turkey for giblets and a neck.
Do not make the same mistake I did.
Hello Via,
Thanks for your message, I am thinking you are not finding the bag of giblets in your turkey? We use a local USDA butcher to process all of our meats, and he packages the giblets and neck from each turkey and then adds them back into the cavity. The package can be difficult to reach and you may have to try from both ends of the turkey. You will also need to wait until the turkey is completely thawed to reach the pack as it will be frozen and stuck inside.
We have never encountered a situation where the neck and giblets are missing, but it is not impossible, as each turkey is handled by a person, not machines. Because of your distance, we are unable to get you another package of giblets today. If you don't find them, do let us know. We can offer you a $5 credit towards a future Elmwood purchase. This could be put towards another s

I had a turkey emergency and found Elmwood Stock Farm on this site, called them up, and the very next day a beautiful bird arrived via post. Thank you, Mac!

I'm very impressed with the detail taken to ship my Thanksgiving turkey I ordered from Elmwood Stock Farm. I was immediately given a shipping and arrival date and then a follow up that my order had indeed shipped. It arrived packaged so well with insulation that it was still very cold. What impressed me also was the printed material that was included. I received a comprehensive background on their production practices etc. Also included were "Roasting your Turkey" tips and instructions for making the perfect stock.
All in all I can hardly wait to taste this organic pasture-raised bird.
I wanted to write this review because I truly was impressed at the amount of detail taken in putting out their product. I'm impressed!! Thank you Local Harvest for always representing the best farms!

I have been cooking heritage turkeys at Thanksgiving for several years now. I wanted a small Bourbon Red and Elmwood thought they could provide one. Since I live in the Northeast, the shipping cost added quite a bit to the cost of the turkey. I spoke to Ann and added several meat items to my box to "amortize " the shipping cost.
I got chickens, boneless leg of lamb, and some beef in addition to the Thanksgiving bird. Let me tell you, this was the best decision I have made! The Turkey was Amazing. The chicken and beef were the best I've had. We just had the lamb roast for New Years and it was wonderfully flavorful and so tender. Really, this was the best meat!
Ann was very helpful and the products arrived in excellent condition.
Don't hesitate to order from Elmwood Stock Farm

This was far and away the best Turkey we've ever had. I cooked an amazing Pastured Bird last year and this Elmwood Heritgae Bird was the best ever. Thanks so much for an outstanding product. Thankfully I ordered two and have one more for Christmas..

This is our second year participating in Elmwood's CSA. They typically have a 22-week CSA season, which means we get delicious items beginning in the spring and running into mid-fall. We order a smaller share, but we still get lots of variety every week. There's nothing better in the world than seasonal eating, getting to try something new, and having variety on your plate every night.
