I just noticed it doesnt say they are Beef Bones, but that is what I got. I like to make bone broth recommended by the Weston Price website, and these meaty bones work great. I use about half the order for one batch. Wash them, put in a single layer in an oven proof pot, and bake at 350 degrees just until browned. Remove from oven. Cover with water. Add 1/4 cup vinegar, let sit a half hour if desired. Add some cut carrot, celery, onion. (optional garlic, pepper, spice) Bring to simmer. Simmer on low 6 - 12 hours or even longer. Don't add salt during cooking. Meat can be removed earlier if desire, but throw the bones back in and keep cooking. I cool it, portion it in zip lock baggies (packed standing up in a cake pan so they dont tip over and leak) and freeze solid. Then it is ready to use for soups, stews etc. I wouldnt used anything but grass fed for a bone broth

This stew beef is superior to what is usually sold as stew beef. It really is the better cuts, almost no gristle, and well trimmed. The beef is cut into smaller pieces than usual, and it is cut mostly across the grain. Grass fed usually takes a lot longer to cook, but the way this meat is cut, it stews in about the same time as store bought beef. I really like this cut. You dont have to be an expert to make a good meal. Quality product

Black Diamond is my favorite grass fed ground beef. I have stopped buying beef at the supermarket which often smells bad on day one when I open the package, or when I start to cook it. Black Diamond Meats arrive in good condition. I throw it all in the freezer. When I need a pack, I thaw it out overnight in the refrigerator and it comes out great. It is not super dry like some grass fed ground beef, and I prefer that. A good company to deal with. Quality product. For instance, the stew beef is not the junk full of gristle but the better cuts, well trimmed.
