I've been a direct from farmer consumer for most of my 65 years, of course started with grandparents and parents taking me to farmstands. I have supported many farmers market growers in the past 40 years, and tried a few CSA's.

This is our first experience with In Good Heart Farm's CSA, we opted for a middle size share, and we love the convenience of picking up on Wednesday in Cary where we live. The ordering process online is very easy, and allows for choices. On a number of occasions we have ordered additional items, too. Quality if great, the pick up efficient, and all emails are responded to promptly. We also loved the plant sale pick up option for our home gardening!

Thanks to Local Harvest, I learned of In Good Heart Farm years ago and have been a CSA member ever since. I appreciate Patricia and Ben for their creation of a friendly community, provision of excellent communication, local pickup locations, and most of all, the variety of nutritious vegetables available to choose from each season. My health benefits directly.

We are so happy that we made the decision to join CSA last fall. All of our friends can tell you that we can't stop talking about the amazing produce we get from In Good Heart Farm (as well as the environmental impact we are making by sourcing most of our food locally). Everything we get is so tasty and every week we get a great variety of produce. Also, Patricia makes jellies that are out of this world!! I can't recommend CSA with In Good Heart Farm enough!

Ben and Patricia are very committed to having a local farm that shares its food in our community. When one picks up the produce of the week, we know it has just come out of the ground within a very short time and has traveled just a short distance. That is being committed to all of us and the good earth. Also they are raising their children on a farm. How many children these days are getting that experience to see where food really comes from. We are grateful they are part of this community.

I have tried a few CSAs in Triangle area, but I think In Good Heart Farm is the best. The quality(they are organic) and variety of vegetables are wonderful. I like their market style which gives you choices, also opportunity to swap. I also like the way they do not require special containers nor boxes. CSA experience has expanded my knowledge about agriculture problems in the US, sustainable agriculture, soil and so many new ways of eating a lot of veggies. Thank you, Ben and Patricia!

We joined In Good Heart Farm's CSA in 2019 (regular share/2 people). It was our first time doing CSA for ourselves (previous experiences were through friends who were part of other CSAs). We were very impressed with the large variety of produce (and also different varieties of many vegetables), and the many choices we had when picking up each share, in addition to the swap box, where we could switch out some items for others, depending on what we wanted. We enjoyed old favorites and also learning about/trying many new things (some of which became new favorites!). Ben and Patricia are very knowledgeable and always have helpful insight/tips for each item. I also really like their newsletters, in which they share what we're getting in our next share, recipes/tips, and pictures/stories from the farm. I also had the opportunity to work at the farm as part CSA work share, which I greatly enjoyed/learned a lot through. They sure work hard/sustainably/beyond organic, and are always improving!

My family and I have loved our experience with In Good Heart Farm's CSA. We started with a small share for our family of 3 and went to a regular once we got into the rhythm of receiving so much goodness at once. Besides loving that the vegetables are delicious and free of harsh chemicals, I appreciate that we are connected to the lovely people growing our food. Pickup becomes a welcome part of our week, and we have so enjoyed being able to go out to the farm to see more of the process that puts food on our table. The work that Ben and Patricia do to bring nutritious food to the community is very cool, and we feel so fortunate to have found this CSA and to be a small part of something so good in our community.

This is the third CSA our family has participated in and this is by far the absolute best! The variety of produce is the best we have experienced. Not only is there variety between weeks, but there are also new things to try! The farmers are knowledgeable, helpful and excellent communicators. Finally, I love the simple system they use to distribute shares and that it allows members to swap unwanted items!

I have been a member of the In Good Heart Farm CSA since 2011 and it truly has changed how I cook and shop for food. I love knowing where my food is coming from -- not only is it grown locally, I know the people that are growing it making my connection to what I put in my body even greater. It has also helped me become a better cook. Knowing I have such great vegetables and fruit in my pantry or fridge makes me get creative to cook with what I have. The only downside is that I now resent going to the grocery store! Taking the task off my plate each week of having to go to the grocery store is so helpful, I just run by the stand, pickup my vegetables and head home. It's so much easier.

We tried In Good Heart's CSA this past fall after deciding we could not manage our own fall garden. We went with a large share for a family of 4. The variety of veggies was great, and the quantity was perfect for our family. The swap box is an added bonus that I had never seen before but appreciated. Overall we loved being a part of this CSA and plan to continue in seasons to come.

My partner and I signed up for In Good Heart Farm's CSA this past fall, and had a wonderful experience. There was always a good variety of vegetables, as well as herbs, and opportunity to buy jams and flowers in addition to the CSA goods. They supplied our produce all autumn long. We were also looking for a sense of community through a CSA, and it's clear Ben and Patricia care a lot about their members, and genuinely enjoy getting to know who's eating their food. They also offer a variety of pickup locations for convenience. I would definitely recommend In Good Heart for anyone in the area looking to join a CSA.

I love trying new veggies through my CSA subscription! All the choices are always amazing, both new and veggies I already know I love. I also really enjoy that they offer a "swap box" so you can swap out any items that you don't love or maybe aren't in the mood for that week. I also really love that they include fresh herbs and a subscription to a recipe service to help you learn how to use those cool veggies you haven't tried before!

I've been a small share member of the In Good Heart CSA since 2012. My family can always depend on a wide variety of good quality vegetables and fruit when we pick up our shares. I appreciate the swap bin (a place to trade an item for another vegetable) and hearing what others plan on doing with their produce when I bump into familiar faces at the market. In the shares, we appreciate the non-super market variety of vegetables (purple kohlrabi, castelfranco radicchio, dinosaur kale to name a few) and food that is packed with flavor.

I have really enjoyed being a member of the In Good Heart Farm CSA. Their produce is amazingly high quality and fresh and they grow a wide variety of items that you can't find other places. If you come to the market and aren't interested in a particular item that is part of that week's share, they have a fantastic "swap box" so you can go home with exactly what you want. Their carrots, beets, lettuces, fennel, leeks, herbs, onions, potatoes, and everything else are just beautiful and I look forward to each week with In Good Heart! Thank you for being our farmers!!!

I've never belonged to a CSA before, but I am thrilled to tell you its been an extremely positive experience. The food just tastes better and I am always happy with the variety. Another plus is getting to know Ben and Patrica, where my food comes from and supporting a local business.

I've known Ben & Patricia since their early days growing veggies. I sold their veggies at a small local market for a few years, and I have been a CSA member for several years, starting with a small share. This year I graduated to the large share for very selfish, greedy reasons (first berries, first broccoli, first new potatoes, first tomatoes, etc.) I am just one person, but I have found that I can chop and eat a whole lotta raw veggies every week when I use them for lunch and dinner. What I can't eat, I either bring to work & share, or cook & freeze. Everything I get from them is clean, beautiful, delicious and super nutritious. If you want good food, In Good Heart Farm is a sure bet. I guarantee it.

Thank you Ben and Patricia and children for quality food and great quantities even for my small share. I am thoroughly enjoying the variety of items, and especially that everything is well washed. Looking forward to a last pick up in 2 weeks. Then, good luck with your move this Summer and I look forward to joining you again in the Fall.

I always brag about the items that I get from my farmers, Ben and Patricia! They have amazing variety and everything is worth trying out. When I started getting my CSA shares I wasn't sure what half of it was. Patricia is very open with how to use all of the items and urges everyone to try the produce different ways. She is so right! I like Kohlrabi raw and my kids enjoy eating the carrots with the tops still on. Napini is a new favorite with our entire family.

I appreciate having Ben and Patricia as part of the family. They feed us from earth they have been working with their own hands for years. I've helped on the farm and understand what lengths they go to make everything grow with the best, most sustainable practices available. Ben and Patricia can be found educating through many of the area non-profits and I love that they are behind the Farm it Forward group. In Good Heart Farm is growing the next generation of farmers in a very positive manner and it is so yummy being a part!

We've been with Ben and Patricia for 5+ years and have always been happy with the wonderful variety of veggies throughout the year. Having visited and helped out on the farm many times, I can personally vouch for the high standards (beyond Organic) and effort that they put into every crop season after season. Not to mention that they are wonderful people, and give even more back to the community through their 'Farm It Forward' program.

I can no longer imagine life without a CSA, specifically Ben and Patricia's In Good Heart Farm CSA. We've been members throughout the seasons for two years: spring/summer, fall/winter and our current season, winter. We eat so well now and at such a great price. I hope I can grow old with them!

There's nothing like a refrigerator full of farm-fresh vegetables. It inspires you to take your cooking in new directions or, if you're feeling lazy, to have the best salad ever. And I mean best. Vegetables are often the best thing on our plate.

I love my Wednesday afternoon trips to the farm. Usually either Ben or Patricia is around to chat about life in general or one of the other CSA shareholders is picking up at the same time and we talk about something we made last week or recipe ideas. Charlie, their dog, is there for a few rounds of throw-the-ball.

If the pick-up times and locations are good for you, you can't go wrong giving their CSA a try for a season. I'm so glad we did.

We have been CSA members with In Good Heart Farm for almost 4 years. It is singlehandedly the best thing we have done for our health! For ~$25/week, you get an amazing selection of delicious, organically grown (non-certified) produce. The value is incredible - you could not get this fresh of organic produce at Whole Foods for even close to this price.

Additionally, this is a legit CSA - COMMUNITY supported agriculture. There are several planting parties and farm events throughout the year for CSA members which are always great fun. Ben and Patricia (& their son Elliott) are incredible people who walk the walk when it comes to farming - they are exceptional stewards of the land and environment and put in countless hours to produce such an amazing product. The engagement with their CSA members is also wonderful - through weekly emails, Facebook, and Instagram - you really feel like a part of a like-minded community. You will not regret joining this CSA!!

My wife signed up the CSA with In Good Heart Farm over a year ago, and we couldn't be happier! Every week, I look forward to going to the market because I know there are great veggies waiting for us. The quality of veggies always the best! We enjoyed the variety of what we get every week. We're a family of 4, two young boys, and we felt we get more than enough veggies to last us throughout the week.

I always enjoyed talking to Ben and Patricia. They are friendly and down to earth people. I am thankful to have beautiful and delicious veggies every week. Keep up the good work guys and thank you for working so hard to give us tasty veggies every week!

We have been members with Ben and Patricia for 3 yrs now and have never been happier with our veggie source. The produce is of the highest quality and the beauty of the different varieties always amazes me! Everything is fresh, tasty and loaded with nutrients that can't easily be bought at a grocery store. In addition, Ben and Patricia are the friendliest farmers who always aim to please. They host farm events so you can see for yourself how your food is grown, and meet other like-minded food conscious people.

I have been to the farm to help out and have seen for myself how long and hard they work to bring their CSAers the best. In addition to all that, Patricia is a gifted photographer who chronicles the cycles and life at the farm and shares them on FB, in her newsletters and with the loveliest greeting cards! You won't be disappointed with In Good Heart Farm!

I have been a CSA member with In Good Heart for nearly 4 years, and I could not recommend it enough. The produce is always high caliber - beautiful, delicious, and sustainably grown. Participating in the CSA has helped me to eat more healthily, and the cost is a great value for the amount and quality of produce you receive every week.

Farm owners Ben and Patricia are thoughtful about what they grow, choosing an interesting selection of produce throughout the seasons, which means you always have a lot of diversity in your weekly share. They are also very helpful in providing tips and tricks for cooking, prepping, and storing all of your veggie treats.

There is a real sense of community around the CSA, with weekly emails about your farm share, annual farm parties, and friendly hellos in abundance. Ben and Patricia put a great deal of love and care into running their farm, and it comes through in everything they do. If you are looking for a CSA, you couldn't choose better!

I can't speak highly enough of In Good Heart Farm. Ben and Patricia (Elliott too) are amazing people and grow the best veggies around. They will ease you into their CSA if you are new to local eating and offer a large variety of veggie options. Everything tastes better than if you were to buy it at the store. My three year old loves munching on their delicious carrots raw, but won't touch a store bought carrot unless its cooked. She says it just doesn't taste the same! She is so right! It's not just the carrots, everything they grow is superior!

Ben and Patricia are really some of the nicest and most genuine people you'll ever meet, so passionate about what they do. It really shows in the quality of their produce.

I could go on and on about how fantastic this CSA is...but...really...if you want to feed your family local and sustainably grown produce... join.

Aside from being some of the nicest people you ever want to meet, Ben and Patricia are deeply committed to the land, growing sustainably and responsibly. They also grow the most beautiful and delicious vegetables! If you want to buy local, eat better and save the planet, give these guys a call. But don't delay, their shares sell out quick!

In Good Heart Farm is my family's 5th CSA farm relationship. We have had the best experience with them over the others. They have gorgeous produce and they do a prewash for us so it's great to be able to snack right from the box. The produce is always picture perfect. It's also the most tasty, considerably more tasty than from a grocery store. The carrots in particular stand out to me as being much higher quality than any other carrot I've tasted. I also find that I feel more connected to the farmers as well as the farming process itself. It's great to be able to actually work the farm and be a part of the farm to fork movement directly. They don't use (or minimally use) pesticides which comforts me as I feed myself and my family. I recommend In Good Heart Farm for your family too!

My husband and I own and operate a small farm to fork restaurant in Pittsboro and we have been a In Good Heart farm customer for years now. We deal with many small sustainable farms and this is one of our favorite farms! the produce is spectacular!! We can depend on this farm for a steady supply of excellent greens - always a great selection of different types of kale, wonderful frilly greens, the best lettuce around. Oh ... the berries!!! hard to get them back to the shop :) We absolutely support choosing this farm as your CSA farm - they deliver as promised and have great work days on the farm giving you a chance to connect with the soil and folks that feed you.

I am a long-time member of this CSA & have little doubt that it is one of the highest quality memberships around. The quality of vegetables blows me away. I cannot describe how wonderful the vegetables taste, other than to say that I prefer not eating them in front of company because of how often I moan out of sheer ecstasy. Pickups are comprised of more familiar veggies such as carrots & broccoli as well as the ?never-heard-of-it-but-excited-to-play-with-it? veggies like Romanesco cauliflower & kohlrabi. As a regular share member, I consistently receive 8-10 items each week, a generous amount of produce that keeps us stocked all week. We receive weekly emails, letting us know what to expect in our CSAs & what Ben, Patricia, and baby Elliott have been up to on the farm. Additionally, there are several events on the farm throughout the year, which is a wonderful way to connect to the natural environment that yields such amazing food (not to mention to those that do the yielding!).
