Richards Grassfed Beef

The Richards family involvement in agriculture stems back over 70 years, when Thomas H. Richards Sr. purchased the first 680-acre parcel. Four generations later, we are still running 100% grass fed beef cattle on Richards Ranch which now boasts over 6,600 acres of foothill countryside. Cradled alongside the Yuba river 70 miles northeast of Sacramento, our cattle graze year round above the valley fog layer and below the Sierra snow line. The Richards Family has dedicated themselves to the preservation and growth of the environment in which they raise their cattle. As the Richards often say, "take care of the grass and the cows will take care of themselves". With a lush and healthy environment our Black Angus and Murray Grey heard live happy and grow to a finishing weight of 1,150 - 1,250 pounds. Richards Grassfed Beef is American Grassfed Association certified and processed in USDA inspected facilities. Our cattle spend their entire life on pasture and encompass the essence of 100% grass fed raised and finished. When customers come to Richards Grassfed Beef, they can be confident that the beef they will receive is of the highest quality. We sell a variety of different beef packages ranging from 20 pounds up to whole steer orders (approximately 400 pounds). Please contact us with any questions you may have.
