Something of Our Own Farms

We are a family owned and operated small farm located in the valley near the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Kern County. We are dedicated to raising happy, healthy, thriving animals for ourselves and to share with others.

At Something of Our Own Farms we currently raise: Sheep, Heritage Breed Turkeys, Seasonal Commercial Breed Turkeys, Layer Chickens, Seasonal Meat Chickens, Rabbits, and Ducks. These animals can be used for breeding stock, meat consumption, show, or pets. Show animals come with pedigrees and papers.
Locally we also have fresh eggs, seasonal produce, and microgreens available as well as canned foods and baked goods. Mushrooms coming soon!

We offer pre-sale on our meat selections at a discounted price and you can also sign-up for a yearly subscription to keep shipments coming when you need them and your freezer stocked all year long!
