Rivney Ranch

We are a small boutique farm dedicated to healthy, natural production of a variety of foods. Our primary product is eggs - all colors and slightly varying shapes and sizes, cartons of a dozen are large to x-large weight, USDA graded AA. Cartons are $4, call head for availability as we often are sold out. Our first breed is Black Copper French Marans, followed by Amerucanas, and Barred Rocks. Our chickens eat primarily vegetation and insects but are supplemented with commercial lay food as necessary. Seasonally, we have heritage variety breeds of surgical (not chemical) capons, usually around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I caponize them, but don't butcher nor dress, so you need to buy them live at $1 per pound. From May to August we also have fresh vegetables and fruits available. Depending on the season, you will find grapes, plums, peaches, apples, figs, carrots, lettuces, kale, tomatoes, dill, basil, rosemary, onions, and whatever else we decide to grow. Our soil is peat based and we use homemade compost to enrich. For fertilizer we use grass-fed horses' manure and natural fed chicken manure tea. Call first for availability of any products. We do not keep regular hours but are generally available 9-5, 7 days. I am a Nevada licensed veterinary technician and take pride in the health of our animals, from our horses to our earthworms. No chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides are used on our farm.
