SouthWoods Forest Gardens

South Woods Forest Gardens is a Permaculture Design Service. Absolutely self-sustaining edible forest gardens with minimal inputs. We focus on our own production and the design and implementation of residential forest gardens. Stop by and see our new Permaculture Garden Orchard. Installed in 2006 by 23 members of the Permaculture Collaborative of Minnesota. 45 fruiting trees and shrubs. All plants are in self fertilizing plant guilds and watered by a large catchment area and pond system in a Swale and Berm design. All plants are organically planted and maintained. All refuse from the farm is composted or recycled. Our sole soil amendment is Compost Tea. Personal and group tours and workshops available. Minimal fruits available by special order.
