We are the oldest continually Certified Organic farm in Indiana, located in Monroe County just 6.5 miles west of downtown Bloomington. Run for over 30 years as Stranger's Hill Farm and Greenhouses, operations expanded in 2007 with the purchase of the adjacent Howard Farm, 80 beautiful, rolling acres of hayfields, woodlots, and stream, continuously farmed since 1816. Rick Dietz, George Huntington, Heather Reynolds and Dave Rollo joined founders Dale and Lee Jones in the new venture, which has increased production and widened distribution under the Stranger's Hill Organics brand. We have also begun keeping bees; enhancing the land's biodiversity by planting native tree, prairie and wetland vegetation; and restoring the historic Howard farmhouse.
