In 2005, we planted about 50 trees to begin a small orchard to produce for our local markets - cherry, peach, plum, apple and pear. Over time, we have added grapes, asparagus, many berries, several thousand square feet of traditional garden and of course, garlic.
We are located within the city of West Bend and are within 500 yards of other farms and within 1000 yards of a honey farm. Land use class is 1 and 2E, meaning prime farmland.

The 2016/2017 season started with a very late freeze in Wisconsin. This was followed by a spring of several, early and full thaws followed by hard freezes. This takes a toll on bulb crops. We saw excellent germination, but as the season progressed, some cloves/seeds had used too much energy after late fall freeze and a crazy spring.
Harvest was 7/27. Table garlic ready 8/17. Seed garlic ready and shipping end of Sept.
