Sustained Harvest Farms is a USDA 100% organically certified commercial aquaponics farm on the bluffs north of Goleta growing beautiful & delicious produce in a 'closed loop' aquaponics system using about 10% of the water necessary for traditional agriculture. The farm is local, organic, & sustainable. We are a family farm catering to some of the finest restaurants in Santa Barbara, such as TOMA and Scarlett Begonia. Upcoming Events

Aquaponics begins with healthy fish in healthy water. SHF has two fish tanks, one 5,000 gallons, the other 3,000 gallons. Each tank is stocked with premium koi and blue channel catfish. The water from the fish tanks is pumped through all troughs (15 of them at the moment) and then returns to the tanks cleaned and filtered by the plant roots. This is called a closed loop system.
