Black Tansy Farm is a small family farm raising heritage breed cattle, sheep, and swine in Oregon's Willamette Valley. We strive to produce high quality agricultural products to feed our local community without compromising the well-being and happiness of our animals or the ecosystem that supports us. We use a rotational grazing system, which allows all of our animals to free-range on pasture for the majority of the year. During our wet and muddy winters we provide a 'sacrifice area' for livestock to shelter and loaf without damaging the pasture grasses. We do not use any pesticides, chemical fertilizers, or unnecessary antibiotics (we do use them to treat acutely sick animals).
