The idea of Sweet Lime Sky started about a year ago when we became very aware that what we put into our bodies has a direct effect on how we feel. So we started small on our 9 acres of land eating what we could grow and using essential oils for anything we could think of. Now that idea has grown and we are looking to serve others in our community who are looking for healthy food options, but may not have the time or space to grow a huge garden. Christy has always had a green thumb and loves to grow things. So the idea of a Market Garden was born.
This year we are offering heirloom variety produce that is Non-GMO and pesticide free. We will be starting this 2016-year with a limited number of CSA memberships in hopes to provide our members with the very best. We have planned out the planting and transplanting dates for 20 different heirloom varieties of vegetables to ensure harvest dates of June 18 through November 5th. Our produce list includes beets, Bell Pepper, Broccoli Raab, Bok Choy, Carrots, Cucumber, Green Onion, Hot Peppers, Herbs, Kale, Leek, Lettuce, Onion, Radish, Spinach, Summer Squash, Swiss Chard and Tomato.
The simple idea of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become extremely popular around the country and as more and more people want to know where their food is coming from we believe the popularity of the CSA will grow. We hereby give our promise to work hard to provide our CSA members with the best possible produce we can grow. We want the best for our family and, as a CSA member, you are family.
