Two Peas Farm

Two Peas Farm is a small diversified vegetable farm located in Cedar Grove, MD and is committed to providing fresh, healthy food to our local community. We are very excited to announce our inaugural season and will begin with a Fall CSA from September through November 2013. We believe that farmers have a responsibility to safeguard the land for our own, and future generations. We believe healthy soils grow healthy plants which in turn make healthy people. To build our soil structure we use compost and cover crop during rest periods. We practice Integrated Pest Management (IPM) by providing beneficial insect areas, using row covers as physical barriers, and rotating crop families within the fields. Organic approved sprays are only used when necessary to control large infestations. Weeds are controlled by hoeing, mulching, or hand picking. Our Fall CSA will feature a lot of fall greens (like head lettuce, kale, chard, spinach), roots (like turnips, beets, radishes) and some other fun surprises.
