Over the centuries the olive has stood for wisdom, fertility and peace. Olives and their oils have lit the darkness of the night, fed and beautified the body, cured ills and nourished the soul. Ancient Rome had a separate stock market and merchant marine exclusively for olives and olive oil. It has been said that people who live around olive trees expect miracles as a matter of course. Here at Winterhill we are about expecting miracles, fulfilling passions and supporting the creative spirit. This land, that we have named Winterhill, has been an inspiration since it presented itself to us. This inspiration has brought us to co-creating a business that will fulfill our passions, support and nourish the soul, create miracles and spread joy. We are great believers that life is a gift and meant to be joyful. Winterhill specializes in Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegar which we sell at local farmer's markets and our retail shop in historic downtown Placerville.
