CSA members share in the risks and rewards of the farm. The crops that we plant for the CSA go to CSA members each week they are harvested. We don't hold anything back; everything harvested is distributed. In addition, there are often u-pick opportunities for members close to the farm. Often, we also have products outside of the normal CSA share available at each distribution time. Becoming a member of Victory Acres CSA is not quite like going to the supermarket. Most of those vegetables will have traveled over 1,500 miles, and will have been harvested days or even weeks previous. Vegetables grown at Victory Acres are harvested just a few short hours before distribution to our CSA members. The ripeness, the texture, the nutrition, the color, the variety - there is no comparison! It's Good Food! Our "Share a Share" program provides CSA shares to needy families who cannot afford a membership. They receive healthy fruits and vegetables along with everyone else. At least 10% of our membership slots each season are reserved for our Share a Share members.
