Amber Waves Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organic farm and educational organization designed to teach the local community about food and farming issues, expand the variety and availability of locally grown organic food, and to maintain a beautiful open space in downtown Amagansett. We are now accepting members for our 2014 CSA program! www.amberwavesfarm.org New! We have pick-up locations in Montauk, Sag Harbor and Southampton. We grow over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables, including heirloom tomatoes, greens, garlic, and gourmet lettuces. Amber Waves Farm is also committed to adding a new component to the East End's local foodshed by establishing the Amagansett Wheat Project. The project will contribute to and revitalize the East End's deep agricultural heritage by reintroducing wheat and other grains to the Hamptons. Additionally, our food education program is a centerpiece of the farm and daily activities are structured so children from local schools can use the farm as an outdoor classroom. We established a Farm to Fork Curriculum in which children will learn about nutrition, organic farming, and grain growing. In addition to working with school children, Amber Waves serves the general public through interactive farm tours and opportunities for volunteering.
