"The people are very merry" is the translation of Manahoac from Algonquin. Manahoac is a union of tribes from the Piedmont region of Northern Virginia who allied against common enemies to protect their sacred land. Our mission is to provide our region with the highest quality products and nourish the people with the knowledge and passions which will benefit the health of Earth and of our bodies, which are one organism. We are proud to promote and use aspects of Permaculture, Biodynamics, Cover Crops, Crop Rotation, Composting, Beneficial Microbes and Fungi , and Local resources. No harmful or synthetic chemicals are ever used and all of our seeds are non-GMO. Local Heirloom Varieties, heirloom varieties and native edible and medicinal plants are a focus here at the farm.
