Granny B Farm is a OEFFA certified organic berry, fruit, and vegetable farm on 115 acres. Located between Centerburg and Mount Vernon, conveniently located off of SR 3/36, straddling the bike path. Granny B Farm is owned by the Trotter family, and was established in 2011.
Granny B's products are available via CSA, direct farm sales, for wholesale, and for 2 farm markets--Clintonville on Saturdays, and The Pearl on mid-day Friday, near the statehouse, in downtown Columbus. Berries include strawberries, blueberries, red raspberries, blackberries, currants, and black raspberries. Other offerings include tree fruit, tree nuts, globe artichokes, asparagus, Asian greens, Asian vegetables, beans, beets, broccoli, broccoli raab, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, celeriac, cucumbers, garlic, leeks, shallots, onions, kale, collards, Swiss chard, kohlrabi, lettuce, specialty salad greens, spinach, herbs, melons, water melons, okra, parsnips, turnips, rutabaga, peas, peppers, pumpkins, potatoes, sweet potatoes, summer squash, winter squash, tomatoes, and other specialty items.
Items on the farm begin with asparagus season in early April, with green onions, broccoli raab, beets, and salad greens soon following. The season extends through Thanksgiving with items such as collards, celery root, winter squash, sweet potatoes, potatoes, and onions.
