We are a group of vegetable farmers in Bells Bend who use well-planned growing practices and low-impact soil management techniques, including crop rotation, cover crops, biodynamic preparations, and well-composted cow manure. We also grow many open-pollinated and heirloom varieties, the seeds of which have been saved and passed down through the generations. Conventional chemical sprays and fertilizers are not used on our farms. We enjoy our work and lifestyle and want to continue to honor the tradition of proudly growing food in Bells Bend!
The farms that currently make up the Six Boots Growers Collective are Hoot 'n' Holler Gardens, Soggy Bottom Farm, and Wiley's Produce. We sell at farmers' markets, to restaurants, and through our Community Supported Agriculture program. Our 2013 CSA program will provide members with 28-weeks of high-quality vegetables, herbs and flowers. . Please join us in making Nashville an exemplary agricultural metropolis of the South.
