Ingredients:
1 lb hot pork sausage
1 C bell pepper, diced
1 1/3 C barbecue sauce
3 T apple cider vinegar
3 T
maple syrup
Directions:
- Combine sausage and pepper. Form into 4 patties, ½ inch thick
- In non-reactive bowl whisk together barbecue sauce, vinegar and maple syrup, reserve ½ c for serving
- Toast rolls on grill
- Grill patties over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, flip.
- Baste with sauce
- Grill until cooked through, occasionally brushing with sauce
Serve burgers on rolls, with reserved sauce on the side
