Maple Barbecue Pork Burgers

Ingredients:

1 lb hot pork sausage
1 C bell pepper, diced
1 1/3 C barbecue sauce
3 T apple cider vinegar
3 T maple syrup

Directions:
  1. Combine sausage and pepper. Form into 4 patties, ½ inch thick
  2. In non-reactive bowl whisk together barbecue sauce, vinegar and maple syrup, reserve ½ c for serving
  3. Toast rolls on grill
  4. Grill patties over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, flip.
  5. Baste with sauce
  6. Grill until cooked through, occasionally brushing with sauce
Serve burgers on rolls, with reserved sauce on the side
