Healthy Living Market & Café in Saratoga Springs, NY will host a tasting of Dark, Robust Maple Syrup
(formerly called Grade B Maple Syrup) sponsored by the Mohawk Valley Trading Company.
Java John Z recently reviewed maple sugar and maple syrup from the Mohawk Valley Trading Company. Here is some of what he had to say:
"Our household tended to favor maple syrup from Vermont. After trying out several recipes with syrup and sugar from Mohawk Valley Trading Co., I don't think we're as biased any more, especially for baking. Their robust maple flavor certainly seem to make the baked goods have a more distinctive maple flavoring in the end product. To be sure, we'll be running some more tests, too."

[Read More]Virginia Beach, VA -- On her blog Mini Macks, Charity recently reviewed Natural Handmade Soaps, Maple Syrup, 100% Pure Beeswax, and Beeswax Candles from The Mohawk Valley Trading Company.
“Rory excitedly tried each new bar of soap: Castile Soap made with 100% olive oil; shea butter enriched Tea Tree Oil Soap; and the winner, Goat’s Milk Lavender Soap,” says Charity. “Ryder is a no-syrup pancake kid and yet I couldn’t get him to stop licking the table where it was dripping from the bottle.” One of Charity’s book club friends tried the syrup too and said, “Better than fresh syrup from Michigan or Vermont. Thick, dark and rich without being too heavy with a smooth finish. Perfect for crepes!”

Bruce Crossing, MI -- On her blog Spring Mountain Living, Krystyna recently reviewed maple syrup from The Mohawk Valley Trading Company. In addition, she’s holding a giveaway for one glass bottle of Grade A, Robust, Dark, Pure Maple Syrup.
“When Mohawak Valley Trading Company asked if I was interested in reviewing a bottle of their maple syrup, I was hesitant to be honest. Our family decided to give sugar the boot about a year ago and I wanted to ensure that there would be a health benefit in doing so before we started drizzling on pancakes & desserts,” says Krystyna. “I was impressed with the number of nutrients found in the syrup and super excited to learn of the anti-cancer properties. I’ve had the chance to use this syrup in a few different ways since receiving it – to sweeten a beverage, drizzle on desserts and even as an ingredient in more savory meals. No matter how I try it, I love it!”

She just felt boxed in by the city and hated the constant noise of cars and sirens. She felt she was simply not cut out for the role of suburban housewife. Instead, she feels quite at home with 9 goats, 2 cows, about 25 chickens, 2 ducks, 12 guineas, 2 cats, a dog, a betta fish, and a pond full of bream and catfish.
