Maple Brittle

Ingredients:

2 C maple syrup
2 T butter
ΒΌ t cream of tartar
Scant dash of salt

Directions

  1. Grease a 7x7 sheet pan
  2. Add all ingredients to a small, heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil. DO NOT stir
  3. When mixture reached 280 degrees remove from heat and pour onto prepared pan
  4. Break into pieces when cool
