Maple Caramel Bananas

Ingredients:

2 bananas, ripe and cut in half end to end and across the middle
1 t butter
ΒΌ C maple syrup
1 t lemon juice
4 inches of scraped vanilla bean or 1 tsp vanilla extract*
cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat
  2. Add maple syrup, lemon juice and vanilla and whisk well
  3. Add bananas, turn so all sides are coated in sauce
  4. Cook for 5 minutes, continuing the flap bananas to distribute the sauce
  5. Serve dusted with cinnamon

*Or 1 teaspoon of ground vanilla beans
