Maple Glazed Carrots

Ingredients:

1/3 C water
¼ C maple syrup
3 T butter
1 ½ lbs carrots, scrubbed and cut into ½ inch rounds

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a large skillet, bring to a boil
  2. Lower heat, cover and let simmer until carrots are tender but still crisp
  3.  Remove carrots to serving dish with slotted spoon. Reduce liquid for about 5 minutes until thickened to a glaze consistency. Pour over carrots
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm
