Maple-Pecan Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

1/3 C flour
1/3 C rolled oats (not quick oats)
½ C dark brown sugar, packed
¼ t cinnamon plus ½ t
¼ C butter
3 T chopped pecans
7 C peeled sliced baking apples

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Mix flour, oats, sugar and ¼ t cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl. Use a pastry cutter to cut in butter until mixture looks like wet sand and there are no lumps larger than a pea. Stir in walnuts
  3. Place all remaining ingredients in a large bowl, toss to combine. Move apple mixture to an 8x8 baking dish. Top with oat mixture.
  4. Bake until golden, about 45 minutes.

Best served warm with vanilla ice cream
