Orange Maple Crock Pot Chicken

Ingredients:

1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
3 ½ lb chicken legs/thighs
½ C maple syrup
¼ C butter, melted
½ t ginger
1 orange
Salt to taste

Directions:
  1. Place onion slices on the bottom of the crock pot, top with chicken pieces
  2. Whisk together maple syrup, butter and ginger. Remove orange zest and juice orange, add to sauce
  3. Pour sauce over chicken and cook on med-high for 3 hours, basting occasionally
