This farmers' market on Hawaiian Homelands is the most popular venue on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii.
An incredibly diverse variety of fresh local foods, produce, plants, and prepared dishes from the many ethnic cultures making their homes in the Puna District are available every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is live music, booths promoting various non-profit organizations, and up to 200 vendors offering clothing, jewelry, art works, cultural implements, massages, and consultations.
And the energy is amazing! Bring your visitors, your kids, your friends and enjoy a true community get-together.
Visit www.makuufarmersassociation.org for more information on the association who oversees the market and the market it's self.

They have everything! You can have breakfast or lunch there while listening to some live music, and shop for everything from fresh produce to used books, local crafts, and clothing. You can get a massage, meet folks, and talk story with neighbors you haven't seen for awhile. It's great!
Maku`u Farmers' Market is the place where we have the best food in the world grown by our own people as well as many other things we might want or need as well. I support this market, because it is food grown by and for Hawai`ian people and their many friends. Yea Maku`u
